Work-Ready Electric Muscle

You’ll find all the muscle your day demands in the GMC Sierra EV. The heart of the pickup truck is a dual-motor 4WD system that generates 754 hp and 785 lb-ft of torque. Engaging Max Power mode temporarily increases the power output to 760 hp, allowing the Sierra EV to hit 60 mph in only 4.5 seconds.

Electric motors produce nearly all of their torque instantly, and this translates to a sharp throttle response that makes trailering more convenient. When properly equipped, the Sierra EV offers an impressive max towing capacity of 10,500 lbs, matching the capabilities of the TurboMax-powered GMC Sierra 1500.

How fast does the GMC Sierra EV charge?

When connected to an 800-volt DC Fast Charger, the 2025 GMC Sierra EV can gain approximately 100 miles of range in about 10 minutes. For at-home charging, drivers can use a GM PowerUP or GM Energy PowerShift charger for overnight charging convenience.

Reliable Driving Range

Even without an engine and a fuel tank, the Sierra EV meets the time-honored GMC standard for practicality. The electric pickup truck offers 390 miles of driving range in its base configuration and up to 460 miles with the Max Range battery pack. These figures surpass those of most other electric pickup trucks, making the Sierra EV an ideal choice for interstate travel.

Sierra EV drivers have access to over 250,000 public chargers, which include several DC chargers. When connected to an 800V DC Fast Charger, the electric pickup truck gains about 100 miles of range in approximately 10 minutes. You can also charge the Sierra EV at home by connecting it to a GM PowerUP or a GM Energy PowerShift charger.

Power eTrunk

The front end of the pickup truck is freed up for storage with the absence of an engine. Opening the power-operated eTrunk reveals 11 cubic feet of cargo room. The space is well-secured and weatherproof, so you don’t have to worry about storing electronics or valuable belongings. The eTrunk also includes a 120-volt auxiliary power outlet that can be used to power equipment and charge devices.

Can the Sierra EV tow more than the gas version?

The GMC Sierra EV offers a maximum towing capacity of up to 10,500 pounds when properly equipped, which matches the capability of the gas-powered Sierra 1500 with the TurboMax engine. It provides equivalent work-ready power while delivering all-electric efficiency.

Four-Wheel Steering

The Sierra EV features a four-wheel steering system, 4-Wheel Steer, which turns the rear wheels in the opposite direction of the front ones. This reduces the turn radius, helping the pickup truck navigate narrow streets and pull into tight parking spaces. The Sierra EV also offers a second four-wheel steering system, CrabWalk, that turns all four wheels in the same direction. CrabWalk improves the pickup truck’s off-road capabilities, enabling it to stick to tight trails and move around obstacles.
